Reliance broadband connection

Reliance broadband is one of the isp’s in India who are helping India to go through a broadband revolution and India is getting more broadband connections every day then ever before. Broadband as defined by the government of India is more then 256kbps speed but there are still many broadband service providers who only provide a maximum of 256kbps speed in their unlimited packages although some like airtel broadband have started providing 8mbps broadband but with a 4-5GB limit per month which is really not worth it as with an 8mbps speed you would exaust your monthly limit in a couple of hours.
Reliance data card and reliance wimax are two other options for those who don’t have cable or adsl available in their areas. I am using a reliance data card and I get more then 10kB/sec speed while downloading which some times goes upto 15kB/sec and is pretty good as compared to other wireless internet service providers.

I am really hoping that a new price war begins again amongst all the isps in India and India broadband customers get to use cheaper broadband like every one else in the world does, presently broadband prices are amongst the highest in the world with high speed connections costing a fortune. Mtnl broadband and Bsnl broadband are two government run companies which provide comparatively cheaper prices for their ADSL broadband connections and are also planning to launch their wimax broadband services very soon which will bring the prices down a bit but that is still a distant reality as no dates have been announced yet.

Sify broadband in my opinion is going to be a thing of the past if they don’t change the way they are treating their customers. If you try calling sify customer care you will end up talking to some one who just doesn’t want to talk to you or help you out with your query or problem especially at night when the only thing they want to do is sleep. Sify cable broadband has earned a very bad reputation in India which can only be repaired with some very honest and extensive attention but then the local cable operators attitude is something which just cant be helped even if sify staff goes through some extensive training on manners and how to talk over the phone with a customer.
