Obesity: solve this problem before it is too late
ObesityObesity is a condition wherein one gains excessive weight that is more than the normal standards. Obesity is excessive weight gained by the body due to deposition of fats because of excessive intake of calories. Obesity is now recognized as a serious chronic disorder.
Causes of obesity
Mostly obesity is seen among people having high calorie diet and low physical activity. However, apart from that there are many other factors responsible for obesity. Disorder in metabolism activities results in obesity. Genetic factors play an important role in making one obese. Lack or absence of physical activity to offset the calories gained makes one obese. Mental and personal factors such as stress, fatigue, depression, and anxiety can also cause obesity.
Effects of obesity
Obesity puts you at risk for serious and at times fatal physical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart diseases, and stroke problems, problems in joints, ankle, knee and waist. It can also cause various types of cancers among women such as uterus, gallbladder, breast, colon, and ovary. Among men, it may develop prostate cancer and colorectal cancer.

There are many treatment s for obesity. Many prescription and off the shelf products are also available for weight loss.
Reductil
Reductil contains an active ingredient called sibutramine, which is an appetite suppressant. It suppresses the feeling of hunger and leads to lower intake of food.
Reductil is an oral diet medication available in the form of tablets of strengths 10mg and 20mg. Reductil has received an approval for sales in the European Union and is available on prescription. Headache, high blood pressure, increased heart rate and increased sweating are some of the common side effects of Reductil.
Xenical
Xenical is a weight loss pill manufactured by Roche Laboratories. Xenical is an oral anti-obesity medication available in the form of tablet of strength of 120mg. Xenical has received approval in many countries including the UK, the US, and many countries throughout EU.
Xenical contains an active ingredient called orlistat, which is known to work in the digestive system. Orlistat attaches itself to lipases and stops the lipases to further breakdown the fat gained from the food and prevents it from being digested in the body. This is later eliminated from the body though bowel activities. Oily discharge and discharge of gas, increased frequency of bowel movements especially after meals are some of the side effects of Xenical.
Acomplia
Acomplia blocks certain receptors in the brain and result in the feeling of satiety. In this way, it helps patients to eat less than usual. When used with a calorie-reduced diet and exercise it significantly helps obese patients to achieve significant weight loss. Acomplia has a few minor side effects that are temporary and transient in nature. These include nausea, dizziness, diarrhoea, vomiting, hypoglycaemia, anxiety, and mood swings.
Remember, obesity can be treated and there are clinically proven treatments for it but still you need to make following changes in your lifestyle:

- Perform exercises regularly
