Content is King
How many times have you heard the saying “quality over quantity” or “content is king”, well hopefully enough to actually take heed of this good advice. There are many methods and different approaches to creating a successful website that has loyal visitors as well as guests, and maybe it even brings in some money. Well, there is one thing these sites all have in common they are quality site, not just because they look pleasant, but because they either provide a service of contain some new fresh quality content. Creating a site with quality content is not easy by any means and it means preparation, planning, thinking long and hard and then putting the time in to get the “ball rolling”, not to mention keeping the site up to date.
This may sound like an awful lot of work, that’s because it is, and you may be thinking surely there’s a quicker way to make money than this. Sure, there may be a easy way to make a quick buck, by cutting corners and slapping any old thing together to provide a half useful service. This may make you some quick cash initially, but in the long term visitors will cotton on to what’s really going on and after a while profits will begin to dwindle. An example of trying to make some quick cash would be to setup a proxy site which should allow you to bypass local firewalls and gain access to sites that are locally filtered out. A proxy is a good example of how to make some quick and easy money, but in all likelihood it will not last. Don’t get me wrong there are some well designed/coded proxies out there that do what they claim and are getting a lot of visitors and likely making a lot of money via advertisements and affiliations.
An interesting side note: I actually used to own a couple of proxies and they did may a few dollars here and there (~$5 per/day), but the provider i was with shut them down, despite their being nothing in their TOS/Agreement about no proxies. The way to make money online is a slow process which involves a lot of hard work. If you create a quality site with good content and a nice pleasant design then you may have a successful site. The chances are with this method you will not start to make money right away, but as the site develops and grows stronger you can begin to advertise and eventually make money. Creating a site this way may make gaining an income seem slow and arduous, but you are more likely to see a higher regular income.
