Ubuntu Linux Released for PlayStation 3
Unbuntu, the highly acclaimed Linux distributor, has released a new version of their popular operating system specifically for the Sony PlayStation 3.
This new operating system opens up your PlayStation 3 to the world of Linux as well as the underground world of the PlayStation 3. It allows a far greater level of freedom than the current operating system in place and even allows more freedom than other custom operating systems out there.
Installation of the new Linux operating system is extremely easy as well as all you have to do is use a Live CD method, which is a wizard tool. All you have to do is go in the XMB of the PlayStation 3 then go to settings, system setings, format utility, and format hard disk. From here you can partition the hard drive to allow for the space needed for the Ubuntu Linux OS. Follow the steps and you will be up and running in no time.
This opens up a whole new world of the PlayStation 3 allowing you to do things which only developers are able to do and allows you to experience the inner workings of the underground PlayStation community.
