Final Fantasy XIII
It’s that time again, time for a new Final Fantasy, although this game
hasn’t been released yet there is still information about it, a release
date for the game has not been set but they have decided that FF XIII
will be exclusive to the PS3 and only the PS3, so if you’re a die-hard
Final Fantasy fan and don’t have a PS3 you’ll need to find out a way to
come up with $600 plus however much the game is. So far they have made
two main characters, a woman named “Lighting” and a blond man who wears
a bandana, rides a motorcycle, and carries a gun who will come and help
out Lightning when she has too many soldiers to handle, his name is Mr.
33 cm which is supposed to have something to do with his shoe size. A
new gameplay will be introduced, the usual random battle type system
has been thrown out for this Final Fantasy, instead monsters will be
walking around and you can decide to attack them or run, but don’t
worry, there will still be summons. Jump Festa 2007 told us that the FF
XIII is based in a government-controlled floating fortress called
Cocoon defended by advanced technology. Those cast out of Cocoon are
placed into a world below it called Pulse. They have said that the
world of Pulse is the Earth and where the crystals that have “chosen”
Lightning are found. These crystals are said to give men the power to
change their destinies and shape the world as they see fit. In fact,
the crystals were previously used to control the citizens of Pulse to
work against their own will. The citizens of Pulse rebelled against the
government, asking for a fair treatment of the law. It has also been
stated that the main focus of FF XIII is going to be offline but there
will be some online features that will be announced later but for now
are under wraps. Another change may be that instead of the usual “Limit
Break” for your characters special moves may be replaced with something
called “Overlock” which is supposed to resemble the Trance mode is FF
XI. If you have played any of the Final Fantasy series you will know
that this is most likely going to be a great game, all of the Final
Fantasy games have always had a great story, fun gameplay, and are sure
to take A LOT of time to complete. Some recent news states that they
want to release FF XIII as soon as possible but the game will most
likely not be released in 2007 but if not it will definitely be a 2008
title. They are also saying that there will likely be a different Final
Fantasy title released on the Nintendo Wii but no details about that
have come out yet.
