Crackdown
Crackdown is a title for the xBox 360, at first there was one reason
why people purchased this game and that was very simple, Halo 3 Beta.
For everyone who bought this special edition of Crackdown they received
an invite to the Halo 3 Beta which is what drove so many people to buy
it. Little did they know they were actually purchasing a great game. In
Crackdown you play as a futuristic cop trying to stop evil crime lords,
you can drive fast agency cars or steal citizen’s cars if you’re in a
jam. There are crime lord henchmen crawling around the streets for you
to kill for stat experience which is the next thing I’m going to talk
about, there are a few different stats you can get level ups in also
called stars, to achieve these stars you need to kill enemies using a
certain technique, you can do melee attacks for strength stars, shoot
them for shooting stars, grenade them, run them over with your car, and
then there is one more category and that is agility which determines
your speed and the amount of time you can run, you can level this up by
getting agility orbs which are hidden around the map. There are three
areas each containing several crime bosses which are hidden on the map,
but if you play long enough without finding one they will eventually
appear, the three areas are Shai-Gen, Los Meurtos, and Volk. They all
have 4-6 crime bosses and then one King Pin, you can eliminate the King
Pin at any time but it is VERY hard if you haven’t taken out any crime
bosses yet, each time you defeat a crime boss it lowers the security of
the King Pin, also when you kill a Crime Boss sometimes they will drop
a secret weapon, make sure and pick this up or else you won’t be able
to get it and they can be very useful, one in particular is the
FireFly, without this grenadier leveling up your grenade skill is very
difficult because the grenades by themselves are often in-effective
because the enemies quickly get out of the way. The further you get in
the game you will get more car upgrades, also the more stars you get in
the strength skill determines the amount you can lift, once you’re at 3
or 4 stars you will be able to lift up cars and throw them at your
enemies. A good weapon to use is a machine gun that doesn’t need to
reload often and takes out a lot of damage and then use grenadier as
your sub weapon if there is a lot of enemies in one area just unload on
them. The driving skill is hard to level but worth it because you will
be able to drive faster so remember to always try to keep that leveled.
